Now you can nip those telemarketers in the bud. The Donotcall regsiter has finally been opened.

The News.com.au website has an article on the new register. I’ve registered on it around 12 today and found that the site was extremely slow. The site must be experiencing such heavy traffic with everybody trying to register their numbers as soon as possible.

The government website is www.donotcall.gov.au. You can add three numbers to the registry and can include mobile numbers. You can click on this link to the registration form that can be completed online.

Hopefully we will have some peace and quiet especially at night. And we won’t have to get all worked up if “I am not interested” is not good enough to get rid of them.

It will take 30 days for the new scheme to be in place. If you are still receiving marketing calls after that then you can lodge a complaint here.
